Within the context of upgrading the 14 airports, one of Fraport Greeces strategic priorities is to also attract more Greek as well as internationally recognized brands, offering a larger selection of choice to the passengers.

During the opening ceremony held on August 6th, Mr. George Antoniou, Managing Director at SSP Eastern Europe & Middle East, said: "We are particularly pleased to inaugurate the first Burger King in Greece, which, in cooperation with Fraport Greece, opens its doors at the “Diagoras” International Airport in Rhodes. I would also like to point out that we are discussing with Fraport Greece the possibility of further development of the Burger King activity at other airports in Greece. "

Mr. George Vilos, Executive Director of Commercial and Business Development at Fraport Greece, said: "We are very pleased with the successful outcome of our efforts to lead the way on F&B services provided at airports, by  bringing for the first time ever in Greece one of the largest chains in the world, Burger King. With presence in around 80 countries and millions of fans around the world, we are confident that Burger King at Rhodes Airport will be very successful. The feedback we are already receiving is very positive.  From our part, we will continue our efforts for gradually transforming the 14 Greek airports into modern infrastructures that will live up to the role of  ambassadors of the Greek tourism industry as well as to the expectations of modern day travelers.

Fraport Greeces cooperation with the SSP started a year ago and includes Starbucks at Rhodes airport as well as the renowned Uppercrust brand at the airports of Corfu and Zakynthos.
