Alpha Bank plans to return to capital markets with 5yr covered bond

Alpha Bank has mandated Barclays, Citi, Commerzbank, J.P. Morgan, NatWest Markets to organise meetings with institutional investors across Europe commencing on January 22nd, Bloomberg reports.
A EUR RegS Registered Soft Bullet Covered Bond benchmark issue under the Greek Covered Bond Legislation will follow, subject to market conditions. 

According to Capital.grs sources the issue will amount to 500 miln euros  and will target an interest rate of less than 3%. 

The deal is expected to have a 5-year maturity and will be issued under the issuer’s EUR 8bn Covered Bond Programme I dated 20th May 2010 and updated as of the 16th  January 2018.
It is expected to be rated B3 by Moody’s and B by Fitch, and be UCITS 52(4), CRR Art.129, LCR Level 2B, CBPP3 and ECBC Label compliant. FCA/ICMA stabilisation applies.
