Alpha Bank fully repaid Pillar II bonds


Alpha announced that on June 20, 2017, it ceased using the guarantee scheme of the Hellenic Republic (Pillar II) and had fully repaid the respective liquidity to BoG.


Consequently, Alpha has no obligation to appoint a govt representative to its BoD. 


Pillar II balance stood at Eur10.7 bn in Sept ’15, declining to Eur6.4 bn in March ’16 (Eur3.5 bn cash value) and Eur0.3 bn in March ’17 (cash value of Eur0.2 bn).
