The Eurogroup will take stock of the progress regarding the 2nd programme review; reportedly, no agreement should be expected today, at best, the Eurogroup is expected to determine the timing of the return of the mission chiefs to Athens to finalise talks ahead of the 7April Eurogroup; progress on this could be achieved during a meeting between the Greek FinMin and the Institutions today before the Eurogroup.

According to the draft official agenda, the Eurogroup will discuss developments regarding the 2nd programme review since the last (20Feb’17) Eurogroup meeting. The institutions (EC, ECB, IMF and ESM) and the Greek FinMin are expected to report on the progress achieved towards concluding a staff-level agreement on the required policy reforms. A staff-level agreement is a step towards concluding a review of a programme.
