ASE: The General Index found "allies" on FTSE20

The General Index of Athens Stock Exchange ended upwards and above 490 points.

The banking index was rising up to 5.60% intraday, while NBG’s attemp to regain the level of 1 euro stood out, the only shares that declined were BOC and Attica Bank.

From FTSE20 index, at the top of the profits stood Mytilineos, which was climbing up to 18.66%. Titan and PPC followed with significant gains also, like FF Group that ended at day’s-high.

The majority of analysts believe that the sentiment on the Greek market remains fragile, due to election’s uncertainty, and to the state of public finances.

On the board the General Index ended at 492.19 points up 3.09%, climbing up to 3.61% itraday.

The banking index rose 3.73% at 164.77 points.

On Thursday the trading volume reached 29.27 million units worth 46.1 million euros, while 87 stocks closed with gains, 34 declined and 154 remained unchanged.
